Your foot's natural movement “over-rolls “and does not effectively absorb shock. The foot touches the ground with the outside of the heel, but the ball of the foot continues to roll inward excessively. Your body balance will naturally compensate for this and try to regain stability; however, this can lead to additional stress on the feet and knees. Over-pronators tend to have flat arches which do not effectively support your body weight. An Over-Pronator will benefit from shoes that offer stability and control in order to reduce the excessive roll-in movement of the foot.
