The Nets were established in '67 as the New Jersey Americans but moved to New York after 1 season & became the New York Nets. In '77, the Nets returned to New Jersey and remained there until 2012 before moving to Barclays Center and taking on the Brooklyn name. The current Nets black & white shield is the 8th iteration of the teams logo.
